Call for Nominations
March 1 marks the opening of the nomination period for the 2023 CASC Awards! Awards will be given in the following areas:
Exemplary Counseling Program of the Year (new award!)
Counselor Educator of the Year
Counselor Advocate of the Year
Legislator of the Year
Administrator of the Year
Nominations and supporting documentation must be received by April 15, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Please view the following link for nomination criteria: Nomination criteria for Other Awards. You may nominate by going to casc.schoolcounselorawards.org/scoy
It is also time to submit your nominations for the CASC DONALD G. HAYS SCHOOL COUNSELOR OF THE YEAR AWARD.
The CASC School Counselor of the Year (SCOY) will be put forth as a nominee for the ASCA SCOY and must be willing to submit an application to ASCA for national SCOY. (A requirement for the ASCA SCOY is recognition first at the state level). Additionally, the CASC SCOY will be an ex officio board member of CASC from October 2023 through December 31, 2024.
- Nominations must be received by April 15, 2023 at 11:59 p.m.
- Candidates will be notified of their eligibility by April 30, 2023
- Eligible candidates must submit final applications by May 15, 2023 (excluding video)

All winners will be recognized at the annual CASC Conference, which will be held at the Riverside Convention Center on October 19-20, 2023.
