CASC Exclusive Preview: National School Counseling Week, Feb. 1-5, 2021

National School Counseling Week 2021 (#NSCW21) is Feb. 1–5. The week highlights the unique contribution of school counselors within U.S. school systems.
This year's theme, "School Counselors: All in for All Students," stresses the vital partnerships and commitment school counselors maintain in their prevention and intervention services for children and youth. School counselors are steadfast in their work towards equity and access for all students. They are unswerving in providing maximum efforts to reach the hard-to-reach students. They uphold a holistic approach to ensuring students' mental wellness, academic achievement, and preparation for post high school learning and career attainment are provided for every student. California has over 10,000 school counselors working in PreK-12th grade schools. Research demonstrates the tremendous impact these school counselors have on students' success in schools. We celebrate the role school counselors play in California's school systems, as a vital partner with teachers, administrators, parents, and the community in creating a safe and accepting school environment for all students.
