ACR 29 establishes May 8-12, 2023 as Student Mental Health Week

Join others in support of ACR 29 (Quirk-Silva) which seeks to establish the week of May 8-12, 2023 as Student Mental Heath Week.

Mental health is a critical issue that affects students of all ages, backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses. That's why I urge you to take a support position on Assembly Concurrent Resolution 29 (ACR 29), which establishes May 8-12, 2023, as Student Mental Health Week in California.
This important resolution, introduced by Assemblymember Sharon Quirk-Silva, seeks to promote awareness of mental health issues among students and encourage schools to prioritize the mental health needs of their students. By designating a week to focus on student mental health, we can raise awareness, reduce stigma, and increase access to mental health resources for students who may be struggling. This is the fourth year California has recognized the second week in May, and schools across California participates with awareness activities to underscore the important message,

Your support will be greatly appreciated, and I am confident that together, we can make a difference in the lives of California's students.
