Last week CASC hosted their second annual Northern California Conference to a record crowd of 600 school counseling professionals. Attendees raved about the overall program offerings, emphasizing that it is good to finally have a conference in Northern California for school counselors and the important work that school counselors do. Some of the other comments include:

  • "Phenomenal. Well organized. Quality of speakers and content was great! I learned things I can take home and use the next day."

  • "Overall, I learned quite a bit from the experts in school counseling."

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed the conference! Impressed that 2019 was only the second year! Very well organized and great quality of speakers and content. Great job!"

  • "Trish Hatch is one of my heroes, so to have her here to speak to all of us was fantastic."

  • "The trade show grew from last year and the vendors were better, more knowledgeable. I was so excited to purchase t-shirts to take home to my fellow school counselors who could not make the event."

  • "Great speakers and content! Excellent tips."

For those Northern California school counselors who were unable to attend this year's conference, we hope you can make it next year. In the meantime, CASC will be offering several professional development opportunities in the coming months. Stay tuned for information regarding extensive full-day and half-day trainings in: Improving Your Classroom Instructional Practices, Getting Organized, Mental Health First Aide, and Restorative Practices. CASC makes sure to have our staff photographer and videographer, Lara Phillips attend every CASC conference to capture, record highlights and have all photos available to all of you through the CASC Facebook page.
