Helping Students in Times of Crisis

Schools should be a sanctuary of safety and learning. Yet, we find ourselves responding to situations of violence time and time again.
Parents need resources to help talk to their children about school and community shootings. Below is a link to a document from the National Center for School Crisis and Bereavement at Children's Hospital Los Angeles, that can address some of the questions on talking to kids on this topic. There is also a link to a document from CASC's Board Chair, Josh Godinez, wherein he addresses the sensless shooting at Robb Elementary School in Ulvalde, TX. We've also included additional resources to help parents and students cope with these senseless trajedies.
