Ethical Standards and Policies
The California Association of School Counselors has adopted the American School Counselor Association's Ethical Standards for School Counselors. These standards are the tenets of professional responsibility for all school counselors. You can download a copy of these ethical standards below.
In November, 2007 the CASC Board of Directors adopted the CASC Ethics Committee Policies and Procedures. This committee was formed to assist members in processing ethical questions as they arise in the work environment. The actual policies and procedures for filing a formal ethical complaint can be found below.
