May 10-14, 2021
California Assembly Concurrent Resolution 68 (ACR 68), (O'Donnell) declares May 10-14, 2021 as "Student Mental Health Week" in California. We invite you to help us meet the mental health challenges students across California show by using this week as a platform to talk about mental health. As the week progresses, we ask that you hashtag #CA4studentwellnes with all events and activities so that we are able to celebrate your creativity and implementation statewide.
You will find sample proclamations, etc. on the Advocacy page, information about free professional development, a toolkit which includes lesson plans, etc. on our Covid-19K12Counseling.org site, and sample artwork for you to use in your promotion of the week.
In addition, we have provided links to position statements and documents for you to use below. Please use these documents in your efforts to help your students, to champion the cause for student mental health in schools, and the need for more school counselors to help our students.
Happy California Student Mental Health Week!
