The California Association of School Counselors (CASC) invites eligible and passionate members to consider running for the CASC Board of Directors. Elections are approaching for five (5) open Board seats, and this is an important opportunity for school counselor leaders to help shape the future of the profession in California.


CASC is a thriving association of over 2,500 members, the largest state school counseling association in the nation, and our success is rooted in the leadership and vision of committed professionals like you. Board members play a vital role in advancing equity, strengthening professional practice, and promoting the value of school counseling at the state, regional, and national levels.


Serving on the CASC Board of Directors is an opportunity to lead with purpose, advocate for equity, and contribute to the continued strength of the school counseling profession in California. CASC encourages all eligible members who are ready to make a lasting impact to consider submitting a nomination.

Eligibility Requirements

Board nominations open on January 15, 2026, and close on March 15, 2026.


Candidates must submit the following as part of the nomination process:

  • Completed nomination form
  • Candidate statement (maximum 400 words)
  • Candidate bio, as permitted by the application platform
  • Candidate video
  • Agreement to serve if elected
  • Candidates must notify the Nominations and Elections Committee Chair immediately if their eligibility status changes at any point during the nomination or election process.
